Lindane. This medication is also popularly recognized as Kwell by most people to remove lice. It can come in different forms such as cream, shampoo, or lotion. There have been incidents where Lindane produces side effects such as nausea and dizziness which is why this is not recommended to very young children compared to Permethrin. It has the same application procedure as Permethrin and can only be used twice as an effective scabies treatment.
Crotamiton (Eurax).A non-chemical medication that can be applied to babies. Apply everyday and continue for five days.
These prescribed medicated scabies treatment can eliminate the mites but does not relieve the itching altogether. Doctors can also prescribe anti-histamines to manage the allergic reaction that produces itching. Scabies treatment medications delivers immediate positive results as long as you follow instructions. It would also be a good measure to clean all your beddings and linens to finally remove all the mites that cause scabies in the first place.
